The refugee crisis in Europe as they call it, brought up so much here in Croatia and in Europe.
For some it brought up memories; many were misplaced during the civil war in my country and many have a story to tell. For some it brought up compassion and a need to help other human beings. For some it brought up fear.
What are they afraid of? Well, I guess of other people. Other people which are different than them. Different religion, different skin colour, different language. Europe is building walls to fight off - human beings. Men, women and children who escaped the war, left their homes and traveled a long way taking with them next to nothing. Europe is afraid of human beings stuck in refugee camps, sleeping in tents while it rains outside, depending on help of others.
We are all one, there are no borders and there is only one religion - Love. I wish one day we all will understand this simple Truth. If that day ever arrives, there will be no wars, no fear and no refugee crisis.
What if our religion was each other?
If our practice was our life?
If prayer was our words?
What if the Temple was the Earth?
If forests were our church?
If holy water—the rivers, lakes and oceans?
What if meditation was our relationships?
If the Teacher was life?
If wisdom was self-knowledge?
If love was the center of our being
